Ocean?depth measurement using shallow?water wave models

چکیده

In this paper, we consider a problem inspired by the real-world need to identify topographical features of ocean basins. Specifically, estimating bottom impermeable boundary an inviscid, incompressible, irrotational fluid from measurements free-surface deviation alone, within context dispersive shallow-water wave models. The regime arises ill-posed nature and is motivated prior work. Assuming only relatively inaccurate initial guess for bottom-boundary, design algorithm accurately deduce velocities true bottom-boundary profile. We achieve considering two separate inverse problems: one surface deviation, another recover approximate bottom-boundary. former classic that requires inversion ill-conditioned matrix, whereas latter employs observer framework. Combining problems leads our reconstruction algorithm. emphasize role played model selection its impact on accuracy reconstruction.
